Game project in Unreal Engine and C++
Project for UGent Psychology department. Gamification of their research into how habits are formed by letting subjects play an endless runner. Game project in Unreal Engine and C++. Designed and implemented several co-dependent core systems: player movement and level streaming for having spline guided movement in a infinite world with high fidelity graphics on low performance laptops while retaining a good performance. Created a custom tool chain pipeline for our artists to make small levels with splines in a 3D editor that serializes and imports spline data and reconstructs the splines into Unreal Engine. Created particle systems and procedurally animated materials. Optimized art assets and helped with high-level concept design.
